In a previous post, we have introduced the President and Vice President of the Aletheia Project (http://aletheiaproject.com/meet-our-president-and-vice-president/).  Now, we’d like you to meet some more of our members.

Lisa Lufkin, Secretary of the Aletheia Project

“I am Lisa Lufkin from Warren, Maine. I am a non-graduating senior triple majoring in Bible, Missions, and Music. Right now, my plans are to serve the Lord where He has me now and wherever He leads me in the future. I am a member of the Aletheia Project to seek to give the Gospel to people of other languages and cultures, and to give them tools for Christian growth.”

Lisa joined the Aletheia Project in the fall of 2008 as a freshman.  Since the fall of 2009, she has served as the secretary/treasurer of the Aletheia Project.  Lord willing, she will travel to Japan this summer to complete a summer internship for her missions degree.

Emily Pike

“My name is Emily Pike, and I’m from McLaughlin, South Dakota. I am a junior Church Ministries major. I’m not sure what God has for me in the future, Lord willing I will be doing my internship this summer as a secretary. I am part of Aletheia because I have always been fascinated with languages and like the opportunity to be able reach people with the gospel in their own language.”

Emily, the daughter of missionaries to the Sioux Native Americans (http://www.ibimi.com/pike),  has been part of the Aletheia Project since the fall of 2010.  She diligently serves as head of the materials collection team.  This summer, she will be serving at Camp Chetek in Chetek, Wisconsin (http://www.campchetek.org) for her Church Ministries major internship.

We are thankful for the host of visitors to our site.  Our viewers have come from literally around the world.  Since the launch of our new layout on December 5, 2011, we have had viewers from 5 continents, 31 foreign countries, and 40 states (as of February 13).  To view the world map showing the locations of our visitors in the last month, see http://pulsemaps.com/maps/173864274/

These statistics reveal not only the power of the Internet to connect people around the world, but also the amazing opportunity that lies before us to fulfill our mission of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and helping believers to grow in their relationship with Christ.

Both as an organization and as individual Christians, we of the Aletheia Project desire to be successful. Dr. Bob Vallier is an independent, fundamental Baptist missionary and the father of one of our newest members, Anna, a sophomore majoring in elementary education here at Ambassador Baptist College.

Praise the Lord for a sizable growth of interest in the work of the Aletheia Project.  Our goal is not to build a name for ourselves, but rather, to glorify God by offering ourselves as tools in His global mission of evangelism and discipleship.  In order to reach our potential and fulfill God’s calling on us as an organization, we depend on the help of independent, fundamental Baptists worldwide.

PRAYER REQUESTS

The Aletheia Project’s purpose is to share with the world the Good News of Jesus Christ, the greatest Gift ever given.  Please read this article about this Gift,  written by Pastor Jonathan  Stockton of Community Baptist Church in Quakertown, Pennsylvania (http://www.communitybaptistpa.info).

The President:

“I’m Lloyd William Hamann from Acworth, Georgia, about an hour from Atlanta. I’m a senior majoring in Bible and Missions.  I plan to be a Bible translator or translation consultant in a Third World country, all the while working alongside a church planter.  Through the Aletheia Project, even while I am still in college, I can be involved in missions and connect with missionaries and other servants of God worldwide.”

We are very thankful to Mr. Cesar Edward Rodriguez from Media Ministry Helps, Armed Forces Baptist Missions and his company USAROD.COM for designing the new layout of www.aletheiaproject.com. They are working with us to convert the rest of our sites to this layout for www.labiblefrancaise.com, www.heroesbible.com, and www.thedeafbible.com.

On December 8, we received from a Christian organization in Switzerland a CD containing the Bengali Bible (both the Old and New Testaments). The CD has a PDF file of a Bengal Bible published in 1867 by the British and Foreign Bible Society. This Bible, not under copyright, was scanned and graciously sent to us. The only condition the organization placed is that we send a copy of the Bible text in Word format.

Pray for:

1. A native speaker of Slovenian to proofread the Slovenian translations of two gospel tracts
2. Culture-specific graphics to be designed for the site
